Single-use plastics directive – The EP’s plenary voted in favour of the provisional agreement

At the end of last year, the European Parliament and the Council adopted a provisional agreement on a European directive on single-use plastic products.

Before the directive is published, the EU institutions have to confirm the provisional agreement. On 27 March 2019, the plenary of the European Parliament voted in favour of the directive, which the Council will adopt without debate.

The European Parliament's press release highlighting the most important provisions of the directive is available on this link.
