The new EU batteries legislation, regulating the entire life cycle of a battery, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The Council and the European Parliament reached a provisional political agreement on the regulation on 9 December last year, and up till now the deal was provisional pending formal adoption in both institutions.
